Grungy Peek and a Layout

Here is a 12 x12 layout on painted and glimmer misted canvas, I used Graphic 45's On the Boardwalk paper,  perfect for this picture of my grandparents and their friends on the California Beach in 1929. The journaling is from my Granmother's memoirs "I had a friend in Hollywood so in 1929 Dad bought my ticket and gave me $100. It took 3 days on the train. Lee and I walked the full length of Hollywood Blvd that afternoon. We lived in a Girl's Club, one half block off the Boulavard. I got a job with a real estate firm and then later with the Board of Education."  My grandpa was from the same hometown as my grandma - Chariton, Iowa, but his father lived in Hollywood and he was there since there was little work in Iowa at that time. While my grandparents knew each other they had not courted before my grandma's move to Hollywood. Since the families knew each other my great-grandfather invited my grandma and her friend Lee to dinner and then they all begun hanging out together. They spent alot of time at the beach and looking at star's homes. My grandma lived to be 93 and her time in California was one of her favorite subject to reminisce about. My grandparents are the couple on the left end. I alos took the heads of each person and put in the Tim Holtz filmstrip ribbon.

Here is a  peek of a project I am working on that is very very Tim. I am hoping to have it finished to enter the Simon Says Stamp  Vintage Challenge.

Thanks for looking!
